NMCA Closes The Gates On Gateway

My final racing event of the season and the final race for the foreseeable future of the Gateway International Raceway just outside St. Louis was the NMCA World Finals, which bookended the 2010 NMCA campaign. The Finals were moved to St. Louis from Memphis Motorsports Park, which shut down following the 2009 running of the same race, leading many to question if an NMCA Finals curse exists. While serving as the final points race of the season each year, the Finals also plays host to the LSX Shootout, bringing in racers with LS-powered machines from all over the country to compete in a host of classes. On this particular weekend, my role was to cover the LSX side of things, while my counterpart and editor Mark Gearhart handled the NMCA categories. Thus a more LSX-slanted look to my gallery of images. To view a highlight gallery of the event, click here, and to view the complete race coverage, visit LSXTV.
